  • Keep the clip short. GIF stores full image frames and grows rapidly with duration, dimensions, and frame rate.
  • Crop or resize the video before conversion so the animation contains only the important region.
  • Use the lowest frame rate that still communicates the action clearly, often 8 to 15 FPS for interface demonstrations.
  • Avoid converting content that depends on audio, because GIF has no audio track.
  • Use MP4 or WebM instead when quality, accessibility, captions, or efficient playback matters more than automatic looping.
