Every MP3 file has metadata baked into it, the title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, and often an embedded album cover. This is the data your music player uses to show "Now playing" cards. Sometimes you want to see what's in there: when troubleshooting a misnamed track, when an MP3 export from a recorder shows weird tags, or just out of curiosity. This viewer reads ID3v1 (legacy 128-byte footer) and ID3v2 (modern, prepended) tags, including embedded artwork, all in your browser.

✓ Avoid exposing private comments, URLs, or identifiers when sharing MP3 files publicly.
✓ Use a dedicated tag editor for changes; a metadata viewer should not be assumed to write or remove fields.
