What is Audio Cutter?

Audio cutting is one of the most common tasks anyone working with sound runs into — trimming silence at the start of a podcast, isolating a quote from a long recording, removing the awkward few seconds at the end of a voicemail. Our audio cutter uses the Web Audio API to decode any browser-supported format (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC) and writes a precise, lossless WAV cut entirely in your browser.

How to use Audio Cutter

  1. Drop an audio file — Drag any MP3 / WAV / M4A / AAC / OGG / FLAC into the upload area.
  2. Pick start and end times — Use the range sliders or type exact seconds — sub-second precision.
  3. Cut and preview — Click Cut & preview to hear the result before downloading.
  4. Download — Save the cut as a 16-bit PCM WAV file.
